Long before there was the FLATFENDER BRAND®, there was a young boy who signed every one of his vehicle drawings CARLEY CARS™.

It wasn't just a clever signature, it was a dream that became a solid-vision.

In 1977, everything changed, with paper route, lawn mowing, and busboy money, sixteen-year-old Mitch bought an abused 1947 FlatFender. It had more rust than paint...and more hope than horsepower. Before it even made it home, the little Go-Devil engine gave up in a cloud of smoke, leaving behind nothing but a puddle of oil and silence.

Most people would've walked away.

He didn't.

Night after night, busted knuckles replaced homework as one repair led to another. Then came the day every builder remembers—the first drive under its own power.

That feeling became something words could never fully describe. In fact it was an all encompassing-vibe he called Fenderin'.

Today, that same spirit lives on through FLATTY, the very first collectible model in the CARLEY CARS collection.

EVERY FLATTY HAS ITS OWN STORY

Every FLATTY is individually 3D printed using renewable, plant-based PLA and assembled as one buildable kit at a time.

Just like the vintage FlatFenders that inspired them, no two are exactly alike.

Subtle layer lines, tiny texture variations, and individual production characteristics are part of every model's authentic personality—not imperfections. Every kit carries its own unique VIN-Batch Number permanently molded into the underside, making every production run part of CARLEY CARS history.

MATERIAL INFORMATION

FLATTY is manufactured from premium **PLA (Polylactic Acid), a renewable plant-based material derived primarily from corn starch and sugarcane.

Unlike traditional petroleum plastics, PLA requires significantly less energy to manufacture while producing fewer greenhouse gas emissions.

Because PLA is unique, traditional model glue will not bond properly. Every kit includes complimentary PLA-compatible gel glue to help ensure successful assembly.
